Patrick Roy Brings Pro Wrestling Drama To Hockey
Is a real life pro wrestling drama skit hitting the pro hockey scene? Newcomer coach and hockey legend Patrick Roy first stormed back into the hockey realm with a memorable start with this tirade/temper tantrum against coach Bruce Boudreau:
Flash forward a couple of months and Roy gives a post game interview complaining about coach Ken Hitchcock – here is a short excerpt:
“I guess the old guys are allowed to do whatever they want and I guess us, because we are younger, we are not allowed to say anything. I am a little pissed off about that.”

When Hitchcock heard about Roy’s interview, he promptly replied to the Denver Post:
“Oh, give me a break. Tell Patrick to shut the F*** up.”
This interesting exchange has all the makings of a free for all steel cage match up featuring all the current NHL coaches. I know I would pay to see that.
