  1. The Florida Panthers joined the NHL as an expansion team in 1993. They played their first NHL season in 1993-1994.
  2. The Panthers reached the Stanley Cup Finals once in their history, during the 1995-1996 season. They faced the Colorado Avalanche but ultimately lost in four games.
  3. The team’s colors are red, navy blue, and gold. Their logo features a leaping panther with a hockey stick.
  4. The Panthers have had some notable players in their history, including Pavel Bure, Roberto Luongo, and Aleksander Barkov. Bure, known as the “Russian Rocket,” is one of the most exciting players to have ever worn the Panthers’ jersey.
  5. The Panthers’ home arena is the BB&T Center, located in Sunrise, Florida. It has a seating capacity of approximately 19,000 for hockey games.
  6. The team’s mascot is named Stanley C. Panther. Stanley is a panther character who interacts with fans during home games and community events.
  7. In the 2011-2012 season, the Panthers won the Southeast Division and made the playoffs for the first time in over a decade. Although they were eliminated in the first round, it was a significant achievement for the franchise.
