Dallas Stars Hockey Facts

  1. The Dallas Stars were originally established as the Minnesota North Stars in 1967. The team relocated to Dallas, Texas, in 1993 and became the Dallas Stars.
  2. The Stars have won the Stanley Cup once in their history, during the 1998-1999 season. They defeated the Buffalo Sabres in six games to capture the championship.
  3. The team’s colors are victory green, black, silver, and white. Their logo features a star with a trailing tail, representing the Lone Star State.
  4. Mike Modano, a Hockey Hall of Famer, played for the Stars from 1989 to 2010. He is the franchise’s all-time leading scorer and played a key role in the team’s success, including their Stanley Cup win.
  5. The Stars’ home arena is the American Airlines Center, located in Dallas, Texas. It is also the home of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and has a seating capacity of approximately 18,500 for hockey games.
