Minnesota Wild Hockey Facts
- The Minnesota Wild joined the NHL as an expansion team in 2000. They were the first NHL franchise in Minnesota since the departure of the Minnesota North Stars to Dallas in 1993.
- The Wild made their first playoff appearance in the 2002-2003 season, just their third year of existence. They reached the Western Conference Finals but were ultimately eliminated by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
