St. Louis Blues Win The Stanley Cup
The St. Louis Blues just won the Stanley Cup. This was an amazing series against the Boston Bruins that went to the seventh game and gave the Blues their first Stanley Cup in franchise history – 52 years to be exact.
Jordan Binnington was the key to this game. He made some unbelievable saves that kept the Bruins from scoring until the last few minutes of the game. He was able to stop 32 shots.
The final score was 4-1 and the Blues really put the game away in the first period when Alex Pietrangelo and Ryan O’Reilly scored the first two goals.
The second period was exciting, but no goals were scored. Binnington was the reson why – he just had the game of his life…
In the third period Brayden Schenn and Zach Sanford scored for the Blues and Matt Grzelcyk scored for the Bruins.
Overall, this was one of the best Stanley Cup series in a long time and the St. Louis Blues were able to pull off the victory in a hostile environment at the TD Garden in Boston.
Congratulations to the St. Louis Blues for making history tonight!!
